To get the best performance from the HPC grid means that jobs must be choreographed to maximise processor use. Doing this manually is inefficient and time-consuming and Red Bull decided to partner with Platform Computing 2006 to automate application allocation. With the introduction of the Platform LSF software, Red Bull chief technology officer Adrian Newey claims that the result is a 20% grid performance improvement.
