How to change settings on your 802.11n wireless access point

On the D-Link DAP-1522 802.11n wireless access point, the IP address is 192.168.0.50. For simplicity connect your access point directly to a PC. You may need to make some changes to your network interface card using the Network Connection window.

Devices that comply with the 802.11n standard are designed to allow you to access super-fast wireless networking at home or in the office to support video conferencing, Skype, BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and access your music, video and pictures from a media server without any loss in quality. Here's how you upgrade an 802.11b and 802.11g network.

Here, Cliff Saran explains how to upgrade to a 802.11n network from his own experience, using a D-link DAP-1522 Xtreme N Duo device.
