Workers on the production line

Workers on 12-hour shifts are not allowed to talk, listen to music, raise their heads or go to the toilet unless it is an official break. They sit on hard backless seats and are paid 41 cents an hour after board and lodging is taken out of their basic wage of 61 cents an hour. The average working week is 74 hours long.
