Our client has been solving data exchange problems and automating application solutions since 1986. Their customers include local authorities, schools and examination centres as well as organisations in defence, government, financial and business services, manufacturing and distribution. An opportunity has now arisen for a VB.NET/ASP.NET Programmer / Support Analyst to join their team.

This is the ideal role to enhance your knowledge of VB.NET and JavaScript and gain an insight into project development. If you enjoy computers - you'll enjoy this role.

As a VB.NET/ASP.NET Programmer / Support Analyst you will be involved in all aspects of system analysis, design, development and support.

Working primarily with VB.NET/ASP.NET and SQL you will be contributing to many challenging applications for PCs, mobile devices and the Web.

To be considered for this position you must have:

- A computing related degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience of .NET programming, either VB.NET or ASP.NET, and SQL (gained in a commercial role or from your studies)
- A real passion for programming
- A good grasp of W3C web standards, JavaScript and CSS

The ideal VB.NET/ASP.NET Programmer / Support Analyst will also have excellent communication skills, experience of using Java and Linux, and knowledge of networking, especially TCP/IP.
