Harlan Laboratories Ltd. is a UK Contract Research Service subsidiary of a global company based in Shardlow, Derbyshire. The global company of Harlan Laboratories Inc. has revenues over $400m and over 2,900 employees. We are currently seeking to appoint a Systems Analyst to be based at our facility in Shardlow, Derbyshire.
The Systems Analyst position will be responsible for the design, enhancement, and tier 2/3 support of business applications for Harlan Laboratories, Inc. in the Contract Research Services (CRS) division. The primary systems focus will be JD Edwards ERP (Sales Order, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement and Human Resources) and integration to other applications such as Salesforce.com, Capacity Planning and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Other key areas of responsibility include:
• Development and maintenance of application software. This includes analysis, design specification, coding, testing, documentation, training and implementation.
• Lead and be involved in Implementation & Improvement/Change Projects as required.
• Supporting, Maintaining and enhancing sales order, financial (job costing), manufacturing, CRM, Inventory, HR and procurement JDE applications to meet Contract Research requirements.
• Supporting existing interfaces to LIMS systems from a functional perspective and make enhancements as necessary.
• Implementing new modules such as business intelligence (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise).
• Developing reports using technologies such as ERW, MS Excel, Oracle BI Publisher and Cognos.
• Writing functional specifications for technical developers.
• Maintaining weekly status reports identifying status of projects, requests and other work in process.
You will preferably be qualified to degree level with broad experience within a similar role. Travel and staying away from home is essential for this role and must be performed as and when required by the job/project/supervisor.
The ideal candidate will also have:
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate in German would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in JDE Edwards Modules (Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement).
• The ability to work with staff at all levels.
