Applications are invited for a full-time senior software engineer for the Oxford Clinical Trials Unit for Mental Illness to meet the needs of an expanding clinical trials programme. The Unit conducts high quality clinical trials in mental illness and is based in the University Of Oxford Department Of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. The post is funded for two years.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of new clinical trial management software using C++ and .NET, the maintenance and development of existing software and the validation and deployment of third party software.
The post holder should have a degree in computer science or equivalent experience, at least four years experience in software development, attention to detail, a willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team. Ideally they will also have previous experience of developing software for clinical trials.
