Offering cutting-edge websites and enterprise level B2B and B2C eCommerce products, our client provides IT solutions to help their clients with their online ventures. With their multidisciplinary backgrounds they pride themselves on putting the consumer first. They are currently looking to recruit a Ruby on Rails Developer / Lead Developer to join their team.
In this role you will be working on an exciting new product for the company which is in private Beta at the moment. The product is a fully hosted managed solution for the simple creation and management of websites.
As a Ruby on Rails Developer / Lead Developer you will further develop and implement the company's new content management product, and mentor other developers.
This is very much a hands-on role, and you will be expected to actively input your ideas both on the enhancement of their existing technologies and on bespoke developments. A keen eye for usability and the ergonomics of a system are important as are an innovative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team.
To be considered for this position you must have experience with the following:
- Ruby on Rails development
- Proven software development
- JavaScript and JavaScript libraries (jQuery), HTML, CSS, XHTML, XML, XSLT
- MySQL, SQLite
As the Ruby on Rails Developer / Lead Developer, you should also be degree educated (or equivalent), an excellent communicator and able to work as part of a team using Agile methodologies.
