Navigation has partnered with a leading managed service provider in search for an experienced Java Technical Architect to work within their Media and Entertainment space.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with experience of the full lifecycle and writing both; highly deployable, web-based software applications and developing enterprise software applications.
In addition you will have hands on experience of:-

• Jetty
• Tomcat
• Websphere / Weblogic
• Spring
• Hibernate
• Struts
• Spring MVC / Tapestry
• Apache
• Oracle
• Virtualisation technologies
The ideal candidate will have the following background / skills:-
• Proven experience of designing and building a variety of commercial, complex, enterprise systems with substantial client facing and team management experience.
• Experience building digital media software systems and architecture
• Worked on range of platforms i.e. not just web, but including client-server, o/s
• Great logical design skills and logical-to-physical design skills
• Deep technical skills across several enterprise technologies – both Java and .NET - and a good breadth across many technologies.
• Knowledge spanning multiple platforms and architectures.
• Have worked closely with senior business people on requirements analysis and solution proposition.
• Have big architecture experience; Be able to think about multiple streams of design and how they tie together, and experience of Enterprise Architecture Models.
• Be committed to design, build and deployment excellence.
