As a leading provider of domain names and Internet-related services, our client has registered hundreds of thousands of domain names and hosts thousands of websites. With a wide range of services, their clients come from many industries and include over 30% of the FTSE 100. They are now looking to recruit a Software Project Manager to join their team.

This is the ideal role for an experienced Development Manager or Project Manager looking to develop their career with an industry leader. The role will suit a flexible individual who is able undertake business analysis, project management, software design and QA tasks to ensure their projects are delivered in a business ready state.

As a Software Project Manager you will be tasked with leading the delivery of eCommerce and backend systems projects. The projects will vary in size and duration, from 2 weeks to 6 months, and some will involve the delivery of networking and server components.

The role is based at the Group's London Offices; however, occasional short trips to Copenhagen and Cambridge may be required.

Your duties will include:

- Managing the delivery of a variety of projects, mainly software applications
- Performing business analysis to identify requirements
- Producing specifications and designs to ensure teams understand requirements
- Creating budgets and tracking costs
- Creating a project delivery plan with business users and the engineering team
- Supervising project teams during the design, implementation and test phases

To be considered for this position you must have:

- Experience as a Development Manager or Project Manager within the IT industry
- Extensive experience of creating requirements documents
- Experience of undertaking business analysis
- A track record of working to formal methodologies (in-house or industry standard, such as Prince2)

Additionally, as a Software Project Manager you should be an excellent communicator and team player with the desire to learn new skills. You should also be highly organised and able to motivate and support team members.

The ideal candidate will also have experience working in an Agile environment and/or familiarity with .NET or J2EE technologies.
