Navigation has partnered with a leading managed service provider in the search for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with 5 years software development experience, leading up to 7+ years project management experience; covering every stage of the project lifecycle, from business case, to post-implementation support.
The successful Senior Technical Project Manager will possess the following:-
• Experience of delivering complex web projects in an enterprise environment with deep interest in technology and delivering systems.
• Have the ability to work the politics of a large corporate organisation.
• Significant experience of direct day-to-day management of technical teams (10 or more), and project budgets in excess of £½ million.
• Thrive in projects with high levels of change; have flexibility and be able to demonstrate how you add value to a project for both the customer and company.
• Excellent experience of managing the project commercials and at managing the delivery of the project.
• Experience of managing web-based data / content / document oriented projects with at least one of the following Java, Oracle, Sun, BEA, Vignette, IBM, Microsoft.
• Have a track record of successful fixed price project negotiations and delivery; with you at the heart.
• Be confident, dependable, build strong relationships on trust.
• Demonstrable experience of how you have inspired, motivated and supported your project teams.
• Possess a structured and organised approach to the management of your projects.
• Have a detailed and practical understanding of software design and development methods such as OO, RUP and Scrum.
It would be highly advantageous to have experience in the entertainment and media space.
