Are you a graduate (or equivalent) with a strong portfolio? Or do you have commercial web development experience, and now looking for a new challenge? If so, this could be the role for you.

Our client is a market leader in niche internet publishing, web development and online marketing. With an enviable client list including SMEs and multi-nationals, they've developed an impressive reputation within the industry. A unique opportunity has now arisen for a talented Graduate Web Designer to join their team.

For this role our client is looking to recruit a high quality designer with creative flair and an impressive portfolio. Applications are invited from both graduates (or equivalent) and experienced designers, however you must include examples to your portfolio in your covering letter.

Joining an enthusiastic team, as a Graduate Web Designer you'll be tasked with producing sleek, clean and professional designs for the company's clients. This will involve using Illustrator/Photoshop, and developing your designs into websites using CSS and HTML.

You'll also be required to put together development specifications in order to pass onto the programmers, which means the ability to write up and communicate your ideas in a written format is important.

To be considered for this position you must have:

- A strong portfolio of work
- Good Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Experience using XHTML and CSS
- A good level of design and an understanding of usability

Above all, our client is looking for a Graduate Web Designer that enjoys creating clean-looking designs and is able to design logical layouts and intuitive user interfaces.

Experience in any of the following would also prove advantageous: Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Video, Flash, Cold Fusion, SQL, Action Scripting, JavaScript.

The company is involved in many sectors including the police, military and security industries. Any background experience within these sectors would be beneficial.
