Our client is the market leader in newspaper and magazine distribution. With sales in excess of £1billion, they distribute over 53 million items a week and lead the field one of the fastest moving supply chains in the world. An opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Data Manager / Data Analyst to join their team.

This is an exciting time to join the company. In this newly created role you will join the Data Management team that is responsible for analysing and communicating industry specific information, for example magazine and newspaper trading data and voucher trading and financial data, to the business and its customers.

As an Assistant Data Manager / Data Analyst you will utilise your proven managerial experience by managing the personal development of all team reports and ensuring the data management function meets the evolving needs of the business by maximising the efficiency of all its processes to improve service and profitability.

To be considered you must have strong data and people management skills. You should also be a pro-active, analytical person, who is capable of working with a cross section of contacts to build excellent working relationships and deliver their data management needs.

Previous knowledge of invoicing and auditing and/or a good working knowledge of SAP and Web intelligence would be a distinct advantage.
