Women in IT 2016: Lisa Neale, BT Openreach

In this video Lisa Neale, the director of UK West for business and corporate delivery at BT Openreach, speaks about the role of positive role models in encouraging people into tech.

By challenging industry perceptions, Lisa believes senor leaders within businesses can encourage women to consider different career paths and attract more diverse candidates to roles.

Lisa is responsible for the service provided to customers across BT's telephone infrastructure, from consumer landlines to large voice over IP solutions. Having worked at BT since 2006, she now leads a large operational team of 400 people located predominately in the UK.

This video is part of a series of talks that took place at the annual Computer Weekly women in IT event showcasing some of the great women in the tech sector.

Excellent talk.

I work for BT and in a technical support role, and we do put in a lot of effort to include women into our tours, school days, job shadowing. Any way to encourage more women into technology can only be a good thing.
