Mobile phone payments technology is about to take-off in the UK as a growing number of retailers introduce Near Field Communications (NFC) terminals. The appearance of the iPhone and Android smartphones, has sparked renewed interest in NFC technology , driving a world market worth  $180bn over the next 5 years.
