So could data recovery company Kroll Ontrack recover any data
from our broken, burnt and bathed desktops?
We put Kroll Ontrack to the test by systematically
trying to destroy three desktops: one which was
bathed in whiskey and water,
one that was barbequed and one that was crushed by
very heavy machinery.
Kroll Ontrack has a pretty good track record of recovering data
from the most severe scenarios. Only last week it revealed that it
had recovered data from a hard disc that was on the Columbia space
shuttle, which exploded in 2003, killing its seven crew.
