IIFL's IT budget to cover BCP in 2011

India Infoline (IIFL) plans to use its IT budget for 2011-12 for business continuity process (BCP) solutions and expansion.

IIFL's vice president for technology, Kamal Goel, informs that his company has set aside 2% of its next year's total budgeted expenditure toward IT. The BCP deployment, to be funded through IIFL’s IT budget, is expected to commence by April and complete half the process by September 2011.

In 2011, a portion of the company's IT budget will also be allocated for business expansion in tier-2 and tier-3 towns through 3G services. It has partnered with Tata, Reliance, and Bharti for this project. In addition, the IT budget will also be used for consolidation of its datacenter infrastructure.
