George Cox, the director-general of the Institute of Directors, will be guest speaker at the BCS IS Management Awards on 17 May.
Cox was previously chairman of Unisys in the UK and chairman of consultancy PE International. He is on the board of the London International Financial Futures Exchange and a visiting professor at the Royal Holloway Management School, London University.
The awards evening will start with drinks in the Palm Court, with its fountain and grand piano, followed by dinner in the Grand Ballroom, with its towering pillars and sparkling chandeliers.
The IS Management Awards, now in its 10th year, are sponsored by Blue Circle Industries, Deloitte & Touche, the IMPACTProgramme, Unisys, and Woolwich.
Winners in recent years include the Automobile Association, Halifax Share Dealing, London Ambulance Service, and Eagle Star Insurance.
Places at this prestige event at the Langham Hilton Hotel in London are £75, including VAT. Corporate tables for 10 people can be organised at £750.
