Lone workers tracked by O2 Airwave safety service
O2 Airwave has launched an asset management system for public safety organisations. The Airwave Locator service operates on a national basis and is designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of lone workers, O2 Airwave said. Managers are able to obtain frequent updates on the location of their workers right down to street level.
Performance Centre 3 aids web traffic analysis
NetQoS has introduced a new version of its tool for providing a single, web-based management console into the key metrics necessary to quantify network performance. NetQoS Performance Center Version 3 supports end-to-end performance monitoring, traffic analysis and device management.
Orange and Fujitsu team up for laptop datacard
Orange Business Services has partnered with Fujitsu Siemens Computers to embed a built-in datacard into the PC manufacturer's line of business laptops.
Built-in datacards provide instant access to mobile data networks for laptop users, removing the need for external data cards, the two companies said. Users will be able to connect to 3G and next-generation 3G+ mobile broadband networks.
