Air Interface specification gets approval

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has approved the publication of a specification that allows over-the-air delivery of multimedia content.

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has approved the publication of a specification that allows over-the-air delivery of multimedia content.

Flo Forum's Air Interface Specification is designed to deliver multiple multimedia streams on a mobile device using standard TV channels.

"Approval of the Air Interface Specification is an important part of developing a complete set of standards based on forward-link-only technology," said Dan Bart, senior vice-president, standards and special projects, at TIA.
