The first group of companies that meet required technical policies and standards for interoperability with government systems to deliver e-services has been announced by the e-GIF Accreditation Authority.

The Cabinet Office set up the e-GIF Accreditation Authority to ensure common standards across the public sector, improving the interoperability of government and local authority systems.

Among the first companies to gain accreditation are Atos Origin, Cable & Wireless, Computacenter, Fujitsu Services, LogicaCMG, Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services, Thales, Unisys and Xansa.
