Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has appointed former Economist Group CIO, Mike Seery, as its CIO.
Mike Seery recently worked at IT consultancy IndigoBlue. Clients included the Guardian Media Group.
"I am very excited to be joining Telegraph Media Group, having seen how much the company has achieved in its digital innovation and development into a hugely successful multi-media company," said Seery.
"I am looking forward to building on this success so that TMG continues to be at the forefront of the digital advances in this sector," he added.
TMG has also promoted Richard Halstead to CTO.
Murdoch MacLennan, TMG chief executive, said: "I am delighted to welcome Mike to Telegraph Media Group. His expertise in the technology field will be a valuable asset to our business. We are market leaders in this area and Mike and Richard are excellently placed to lead us as we continue to deliver cutting edge results."
Seery will assume the CIO role in two weeks' time. His predecessor, Paul Cheesbrough, left the Telegraph Media Group in June to go to News International, which publishes the Times, the Sun, the Sunday Times and the News of the World.
