Technology workers could be at risk of losing their jobs as travel company Thomas Cook announces it will cut jobs to reduce costs.
According to a spokesperson for the company, the cull will take place across back-office functions at its headquarters.
In its pre-close trading update for September, Thomas Cook said it was targeting substantial cost savings in Britain.
The potential savings should help to offset the uncertain economic backdrop that continues to prevail in the UK, said the company.
A spokesperson said the company will announce the departments to be targeted in its full-year results in December. Branch staff will not be affected, he said.
