Prime minister Tony Blair has called for education reforms to prepare Europe for electronic commerce.
Blair told the World Economic Forum in Davos that the most important commodity in the global economy is now information. He also proclaimed that the UK is showing the way forward for Europe with the creation of new learning centres with incentives to upgrade skills.
In a rousing soundbite he said, "In an economy dominated by information and knowledge, education is king."
