We are a self-effacing crew at Computer Weekly. It is,
therefore, with some colour flushing our cheeks that we rise to
stammer out a rebuttal of a remark made by the minister of state
for public health, Caroline Flint, about one of our
number.
In a Commons debate on the National Programme for IT in the NHS
on 6 June, she said, "I am sure that [Conservative MPs] do not rely
only on the opinions of such people as Tony Collins of Computer
Weekly, who has, I understand, provided briefings solely to members
of the Conservative Party." Not true.
