The BCS has launched two sections to meet demand for greater involvement in the society's activities.
The BCS Middle East Section was launched last month at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi during an evening to celebrate 50 years of the BCS. It was attended by Edward Oakden, the British ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, BCS Middle East Section members, CIOs, IT managers and CEOs from the IT industry.
In the UK, a section has been set up for members in Lincolnshire. Having previously been a sub-branch, the group has now received approval to become a full branch.
