HP has reshuffled the management of its ProCurve Networking business, appointing a new European head.
Darla Sommerville, former vice-president and general manager of ProCurve Americas, has become worldwide director of operations at the division. HP said Sommerville would “guide the demand planning and matching processes worldwide”.
Wenceslao Lada, former vice-president and general manager of ProCurve EMEA, has been appointed vice-president and general manager of the Americas, in place of Sommerville.
HP said Lada had increased the region’s revenues by a factor of five in the past six years. “Lada brings an increasingly global perspective to the ProCurve Americas team”, said HP.
HP said the moves were designed to improve the management of its operations, including customer support.
To fill Lada’s position in the EMEA region, ProCurve has promoted Alberto Soto García to the role of vice-president and general manager of ProCurve EMEA.
Soto García was previously sales manager for EMEA. Prior to ProCurve, he held international management positions at 3Com and Madge Networks.
