IBM has made available four enterprise software development patterns to ease application building among users of the IBM Rational Software Architect tool.   

 

The free IBM patterns include code that can be integrated directly into the Software Architect tool, and they enable automation and reuse of application designs.

 

The four patterns being made available include Business Delegate, which allows developers to take business code and link it to a service that will use the code; and Data Access Object, for automating access to back-end data.

 

There is also Message Façade, which supports message transport between applications; and Session Façade for managing sessions.
