Hewlett-Packard is investigating complaints that customers have not received Carepaq warranty services they purchased from an HP-approved specialist.

Paul Early, HP UK packaged services business manager, said, "We know that some customers have been let down and if they can prove they ordered and paid [for the renewed Carepaq], we will endeavour to ensure customer satisfaction. We are investigating how big the hole is," he said.

Early said HP was not sure how many users were affected by the problem. Orders can take up to four weeks to process but one source close to the situation said hundreds of customers had been affected.
