Oracle is adding a component for creating sales proposals to the latest version of its Oracle Sales software scheduled to be announced next week.
The component, called Oracle Proposals, is meant to cut down the time a sales representative works on drafting sales proposals by offering templates for faster generation of customer-ready sales proposals.
Oracle Sales is part of Oracle's E-Business Suite, the company's enterprise applications suite. Other components of Oracle's software for sales force automation include Oracle Quoting, Oracle Field Sales, Oracle Incentive Compensation, Oracle Sales Offline and Oracle TeleSales.
Oracle representatives declined to specify pricing or availability of the new software ahead of next week's announcement.
