Britvic Soft Drinks has signed a £15m, five-year outsourcing deal with French IT services company Atos Origin.
Atos will host Britvic's UK systems, including all its SAP, Siebel and associated applications for back-office functions. It follows a three-year contract awarded in 2008 for applications management.
Britvic recently acquired soft drinks group Fruité Enterpises for €237m.
Britvic IT director Rob Pritchard said, "As we consolidate our leading position in the market and further grow our presence overseas, we need flexible, cost-efficient IT systems. The solution from Atos Origin meets these requirements, which is why we have taken the decision to extend our relationship."
Atos Origin provides support from both the UK and its Indian delivery centres in Mumbai. It will help Britvic to improve its supply chain to prepare for international growth and to respond to peaks in demand for Britvic's products.
Steve Smith, vice-president for enterprise at Atos Origin, said, "This new contract further extends our relationship with Britvic both in terms of services we provide and the new commercial model that we have agreed."
The contract is a timely win for Atos Origin, which recently announced a decrease in revenue due to the insolvency of German client Arcandor.
