The company says artificial intelligence and self-learning techniques contained in the software reduce data migration to a review and refinement task. Source and target databases are mapped against each other using metadata and names of the data. Once the mappings are validated, IO Convert can translate data in limited test runs or as a full conversion.
The approach is based on the actual names of data elements so that data can be drawn from sources such as databases, flat-files and XML. It uses dictionaries that can be displayed as spreadsheets and tuned to client requirements. Data mappings can be stored for future use or for audit purposes.
