Energy firm National Grid has chosen software from human resources consultancy firm Towers Watson as it moves towards a single integrated system for all major HR processes for its 30,000 employees.
National Grid will combine the use of Towers Watson’s Talent Reward software with the supplier's consultancy services. Initially, it will implement the software’s performance management and workforce planning capability, followed by talent management, compensation planning and learning modules next year.
National Grid selected the Towers Watson software to enable it to receive integrated technology, consultancy and change management expertise.
“This programme will form part of National Grid’s commitment to building a single integrated technology platform for all major HR processes to support its drive for high performance,” said Helen Jenks, project director for National Grid.
National Grid becomes the first major UK user of the software, which was recently launched in the UK.
