Noble Group, an independent investment specialist, has increased employee flexibility with IP telephony and saved 10% on its call costs per annum.
With offices in Glasgow and London and around 100 employees, Noble wanted a cost-effective and flexible communications system that would support recent expansion at both locations.
The company opted to replace its legacy private branch exchange with a 3Com SuperStack 3 NBX Networked Telephony Solution, to achieve a substantial reduction in the cost of making more than 600 inter-office calls per week and deliver communications flexibility to users.
Noble Group head of technology Joe Philipsz said, “Most of our people have direct client contact and are highly mobile. We can be called upon to work anywhere: the company’s offices, from home or anywhere in the world.
“The 3Com networked telephony system makes it easy to work any way we like - adding or changing users and reconfiguring the system and rerouting traffic whenever necessary.”
“Using the system has given us savings of 10% off voice costs per annum, and dialling is now far more efficient as phone calls are redirected to anywhere in the world and there are no wasted calls looking for the right person,” he said.
