Staffing and recruitment organisation, Interim Services, has changed its name to Spherion in a move designed to reflect the company's "new business mix".
The organisation, which operates from 1,000 offices across the US, UK and Europe, says it has transformed itself into a "leading human capital management company" providing "end-to-end technology solutions" to clients, including management consulting, outsourcing, project support staff and web design.
"The new name, Spherion, reflects the company's modern consultative identity and is symbolic in validating that we have entered new space beyond the traditional temporary staffing industry," says chairman, Ray Marcy.
The company reports growth in all of its sectors and says it has seen revenue increase at an annual rate of 43 per cent for the last five years.
In the UK, Interim operates through companies including Michael Page, FSS Group, Crone Corkill, Interim On-Premise, Interim Technology Consulting, Interim Technology Staffing Solutions and Interim Technology Training.
The name change, which takes effect in the first quarter of 2001, will apply to all Interim business units with the exception of Michael Page.
