YKK extends security
Global zip manufacturer YKK has extended its contract with telecoms company Equant to secure all communications into and out of the YKK corporate wide area network throughout Europe. The £800,000 security project allows YKK to scan internet and intranet traffic separately for viruses.
Coca-Cola automates
Coca-Cola Enterprises in Belgium and Holland has awarded Warwickshire-based systems integrator Bytronic Automation a contract worth more than £250,000. Bytronic specialises in the application of computer-based factory monitoring systems.
Abcam picks Rebus
Abcam, which makes research tools for scientists studying genetic code, has awarded a contract for co-location and business continuity services to Rebus Interhouse. Rebus will house Abcam's core business systems, including web and database servers and redundant firewalls connected via a 6mbps link.
