SAP has started shipping the next version of its mySAP ERP package a month ahead of schedule.
The latest version includes new and enhanced features which make the software easier to use and increase user productivity, said SAP.
Designed to work with SAP’s NetWeaver web services platform, the new version of mySAP is the first phase of the company’s move towards its Enterprise Services Architecture.
The architecture is designed to align applications and software infrastructure with business processes.
Meta Group analyst Barry Wilderman, said, "Businesses face new challenges every day, ranging from regulatory and compliance issues to outsourcing considerations.
"Companies are looking forward to flexible, adaptable service-oriented software to enable them to quickly adapt their business processes to changing market requirements."
New templates provide information and services for specific user groups and range from job-specific ones, such as plant manager, to general roles, such as employee or manager.
Enhanced analytical tools cover human capital management, financial operations and corporate services.
SAP has also announced that it will work closely with Intel on radio frequency identification (RFID) research and development.
