What have you got in your pockets?
Coins, mobile phone and some business cards.
Who would you most like to have a date with?
It would definitely have to be Jennifer Lopez.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A fighter pilot.
How did you get into the IT industry?
Via implementing ERP systems and helping engineers understand the technology. The rest is history.
What's your favourite chat-up line?
I don't need one.
What do you do to relax?
Sail.
What's your best quality?
My sense of humour.
What's your favourite song and why?
Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. Jeff has such a good vocal range and the song evokes such emotion. It was even used in Shrek.
What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?
Using first name terms, I once asked a board member of UK plc his opinion on a particular product and whether he thought he needed the technology. The conversation continued for quite a while, and at the end it was quite apparent I had been calling him by his colleague's name the whole time.
What's your favourite place and why?
Rannoch Moor, Scotland. It's isolated, has breathtaking views and is tranquil.
If you had a dinner party and could invite anyone, dead or alive, who would you invite and why?
Robin Williams and Penelope Cruz - he could provide the entertainment and she could provide the conversation!
If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Buy a better boat.
Is there life after death?
Not for someone like me, surely.
What's the most daring thing you've ever done?
Fly a military helicopter.
Favourite joke?
I can't think of a short one, they all need visuals.
What's your most annoying habit?
Speaking Scots to those who don't understand it.
If you could make a voodoo doll of someone, who would it be?
Bill Gates.
Who is your biggest hero/heroine?
Neil Armstrong. But I'm not entirely convinced he ever walked on the moon.
What most annoys you?
People who don't take responsibility for their own actions and those who have no regard for others and their feelings.
How would you like to die and what would you choose as your epitaph?
I'd like to go quickly - preferably not by drowning. My epitaph would read: "Shit Happens."
