Text messaging is being used to warn women in Poland when not to have sex.
The messages, issued by the country's contraception advice service, inform women when they are ovulating - the period when having sex is most likely to result in pregnancy. Subscribers input their personal details, including their menstrual cycle and telephone number, on the organisation's Web site and receive three monthly text messages on their mobile informing them on which days they are most fertile.
