Finding details of higher education courses that are accredited by the BCS is now possible via a special search option on the BCS website.
The BCS reviews computing courses via a programme of visits to higher education institutions. Accredited courses contribute towards becoming a BCS member and can exempt students from BCS professional examinations.
As well as finding courses that have BCS accreditation, the search facility highlights whether courses result in chartered or incorporated accreditation from the Engineering Council and the Science Council.
The search facility lists any conditions applicable to the courses, so users can check whether they meet the criteria.
