Brewer InBev has awarded a five-year 70m euro (£48.6m) outsourcing contract to LogicaCMG.

The Belgian brewer, whose brands include Stella, Beck’s, Leffe and Skol, said LogicaCMG would manage the business systems for its western European and global headquarters across eight of its major territories in Europe.

InBev said the contract, which covers InBev’s entire existing application environment in Belgium, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland and Luxemburg, would streamline the company’s end-to-end application management processes.

As part of the agreement, around 70 InBev staff will transfer to LogicaCMG.

Claudio Garcia, InBev chief information and services officer, said, “Through this contract InBev will be able to achieve a more consistent approach to its IT services across a number of European countries.

“It will allow InBev to manage its western European and global headquarters’ business systems and applications services at an optimal cost, while maintaining strong service levels.”
