Britannia rules at Best Places to Work in IT Awards 2006

Britannia Building Society was the overall winner of Computer Weekly's Best Places to Work in IT Awards 2006, which were held last week at London's Park Lane Hotel.

Britannia Building Society was the overall winner of Computer Weekly's Best Places to Work in IT Awards 2006, which were held last week at London's Park Lane Hotel.

Now in their third year, the awards celebrate the UK's best employers of IT professionals. The ceremony highlighted the importance of raising the profile of IT departments within organisations and helped the sharing of employment best practice.

In a year that was notable for the exceptionally high quality of the entries received, Britannia was named the Best Place to Work in IT for 2006. Other winners include the Land Registry among central and local government entrants; Kimberly-Clark in manufacturing and engineering; Yell in media, hospitality, entertainment and leisure; and Compuware among IT software and hardware entrants.
