Intuit UK has launched the 2006 editions of QuickBooks, its business accounting software for SMBs and their advisors.

The software, designed to facilitate easy setting up of business accounts, includes a newly designed central information hub and additional features to help SMBs manage accounts and trade.

The QuickBooks 2006 portfolio includes software for SMBs with complex payroll and electronic payment needs, and tools that offer specialist business planning functions. Such features are said to have been included due to specific customer feedback.

The program’s central information and assistance hub links directly to support, training tools, product updates and services. The resource area is available throughout the program which, says Intuit, makes core tasks, including payroll and electronic payments, simpler and less time consuming.

Susan Lazareff, managing director for Intuit UK, says, "[SMBs] don't want to be held back by anything or anyone. They need accounting software that gets the job done, efficiently and simply. Customers told us they thought we could make QuickBooks even easier to work with, especially for new users. And, we've responded with a new navigation approach and added more."
