Open source software company Sourcelabs has launched an on-line catalogue of open-source projects to help developers contribute to evolving technology platforms.
The company’s Swik initiative provides tools that allow developers to edit or update information on any of the projects in the catalogue.
The idea is that the open source community will moderate and manage the Sourcelabs catalogue.
In addition, developers can be updated on specific projects they are interested in via RSS (really simple syndication) feeds.
By putting together open source software stacks, Sourcelabs makes money by providing support to companies wanting to roll them out commercially.
