Wavelink has announced Wavelink Managed Security software designed for integrated wireless Lan management and protection.
The product provides security for older 802.11-based Wi-Fi and newer wireless Lans that are compliant with the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) standard. It also supports a variety of mobile devices, such as industrial terminals, handhelds and laptops.
Wavelink Managed Security allows a company to centrally deploy WPA client software and policies across multiple sites without having to physically touch the devices. It also supports a range of major authentication standards.
Wavelink Managed Security comprises separate components that include Mobile Manager Enterprise, which starts at $9,750 (£5,300) for 25 wireless network devices and 25 device licences, as well as Mobile Manager Authentication Server, which starts at $1,395 for 25 concurrent users.
The new release interoperates with the Odyssey client from Funk Software.
