BBC lines up £2bn IT deal
The BBC is looking for suppliers to deliver its 10-year, £2bn IT outsourcing deal.
The corporation has called for bidders to take control of BBC Technology, which supplies IT services to the broadcaster and had a turnover of £220m last year.
The contract will cover the provision of hardware, systems and applications, telephony, consulting, project services and broadcast system services.
Suppliers have until 9 January to submit their applications, and it is expected that three suppliers will be invited to tender.
