Only a fortnight remains to get a ticket for this year's Intellect ICT Industry Charity Ball, which takes place on 7 July.
The annual event, supported by Computer Weekly and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, aims to raise more than 50,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation, which helps seriously ill children.
The ball, which takes place on London's South Bank, is expected to be attended by more than 400 IT professionals.
Last year's ball, which raised 50,000 for autistic children, was a finalist in the Best Party Event of the Year category at the Corporate Events Association's 2004 Awards.
This year's ball involves celebrity guests and starts with cocktails and dinner. It includes dancing, a fairground and entertainers, and is based on the theme of "a night at the movies".
Industry sponsors include Atos Origin, EDS, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oki, Sx3, Veritas, the WCIT Charitable Trust and Computer Weekly.
Since its inauguration in 2000 the annual ITcharity ball has raised more than 150,000 for various charities. A table for 10 this year costs 1,950 plus VAT, with individual bookings at 195 plus VAT.
