Capital Software employee Ginny Smethurst recently raised £500 for Mencap (the Royal Society for Mentally Handicapped Children and Adults) after successfully completing a tandem parachute jump over Kent.
Smethurst, a PA at the Burgess Hill-based contract recruitment agency, made the jump from 11,500 feet with instructor Ian Marshall at the Headcorn Parachute Club near Maidstone.
"The (5,000 feet) free-fall was the best bit," commented Smethurst. "It was a total feeling of freedom (and) there were fantastic views of the Kent coastline and clear views of cross channel ferries and Eurostar."
Capital Software places IT contractors in the telecoms/defence and aerospace markets throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
