Contractors registered with the Certes Group are to receive access to preferential rate liability insurance under a deal between the recruitment agency and insurance broker, Halkett Associates.
According to the agency the insurance will be offered through its 'Contractor Club' service and will provide "tailored" cover for employers' liability, public liability, product liability and professional indemnity insurance. It will also offer protection to contractors who accept assignments abroad, says the agency. Commercial director, David McCormack believes 'Certes Insurance' will meet an important need among contractors. "Insurance liability is a highly complex issue, as most operators in the IT industry know. It is vital that contractors have access to cost-effective insurance, particularly in light of IR35 and their need to run their companies as bona fide, risk bearing businesses," he says.
Other services available through the club include discounted shopping on IT and leisure products with Jungle.com, and a 20 per cent reduction on BUPA healthcare.
