Chartered surveyors and property consultant firm, Sanderson Weatherall, has implemented an e-mail continuity service across its five UK offices as part of a business continuity plan.
"A business continuity review identified our e-mail system as a critical system that was not adequately covered because any failure would result in a potential loss of business," said Adrian Rich, head of IT at Sanderson Weatherall.
The firm was looking for a fully managed e-mail continuity to ensure no e-mail would be lost and access to e-mail would be restored quickly in the event of any disaster.
"After talking to other customers, we were aware that Message One could meet our needs exactly, so Iron Mountain Digital was the natural choice as Message One's UK partner," said Rich.
"Iron Mountain Digital was also able to implement the continuity part of its e-mail management suite in less than a month without affecting any of our existing systems and services," he said.
The system enables up to 150 users to continue accessing e-mail via their normal e-mail client or web browser if Sanderson Weatherall's e-mail server stops working. After any interruption, the main e-mail server is automatically updated, said Rich.
