Oracle ships flagship ERP system

Oracle has announced general availability of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.

Oracle said the new suite is designed “to enhance customers’ ability to think globally to make better decisions, work globally to be more competitive and manage globally to help lower costs and improve performance”.

The newly updated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications of the Oracle E-Business Suite provide a centralised financial architecture that enables higher levels of control and transparency while supporting diverse local accounting, tax and employee regulations and standards, said the supplier.

The ERP applications also help customers lower costs with centralised set-up and maintenance of accounting, tax and banking rules.

With other enhancements, the Oracle Human Capital Management module now includes specific role-based views into data that enables organisations to make more informed, strategic and tactical workforce decisions.

In addition, Oracle Project Portfolio Analysis helps organisations select projects that are dispersed across geographies or lines of business, and align them to global business objectives.

And Oracle Daily Business Intelligence for Projects allows users to quickly assess summarised financial and operational information, pinpoint issues and then drill down to specific project performance and resource details.

New features in Oracle Talent Management give organisations the ability to maximise workforce performance by combining objective setting and appraisal processes.
